What is 3D Scanning?

3D scanning captures the exact shape, size, and surface detail of a real-world object and converts it into precise digital data. The scan can be used for inspection, quality control, 3D printing, or as the foundation for reverse engineering into a CAD model allowing existing parts to be recreated even when original drawings or specifications are unavailable.

We use handheld, portable scanning equipment, so scanning can be carried out in our workshop or onsite at your facility. This makes it practical for components of different sizes, including large, heavy, fixed, or difficult-to-transport objects.
